The “Kewpie Doll” was a mass produced doll by the K and K Toy Company who founded Cameo Dolls in the United States of America. “Kewpie Dolls” are dolls with closed mouths, side glancing eyes, and topknot hairdos. Similar to other massed produced dolls made for African-American children, this doll exhibits the same features as the original white “Kewpie Doll” but with darkened skin. She is wearing a Christmas style blue and white dress with white stockings and black patent leather shoes.
