This doll takes combines the European and American traditions of Christmas with a doll that makes her appear more of what an African- American would look like celebrating Christmas from their perspective. The doll was created in the 1980's when dolls were to be more of a representative of people of color. The doll does not have stereotypical skin color or facial features. The time period that the doll represents is unknown but reflects the 1800's carolers outfit.
